[ They don't set a specific time, so she can only assume it's supposed to be as soon as possible. So gathering her things, she hurries to go meet him. ]
[Mogget moves quickly since the roads and paths that bipeds need to take don't tend to ever stand in his way. He reaches the inn quickly, perching himself on a windowsill off the chilly road and curling his tail around his front paws.
No one seems to really notice him there, but anyone who happens to watch him from a distance for more than a couple of minutes might realise he is employing small bursts of Light magic to divert attention away from himself.]
[ Amy arrives soon enough, carrying a basket on one arm, its contents covered with a white cloth. She doesn't notice him immediately, both because he's a white cat and its snowy as well as him using his magic to remain unnoticed. But she does eventually spot him and hurries over. ]
[The cat lets out an involuntary 'chirp!' as he's greeted and he stands up, stretching languidly before he turns her attention to her properly.]
Hello. [He sniffs the air and peers down at the basket, then hops from the sill and on to Amy's shoulder. Somehow, he manages to balance there without digging his claws into her clothing.]
[ Though a little surprised as Mogget perches on her shoulder, she still smiles as she glances at him, pulling back the cloth a bit to reveal part of a fresh fish. ]
[She has a fairly narrow shoulder to balance on but he manages it, and he manages to turn around to look at the gift without whacking his tail into her face. The way his pupils dilate gives him away, and the twitching of his small pink nose as he sniffs at the fish.]
A gift?
[His front paws knead very gently at her shoulder.]
[ She grins a little to herself, pleased by the reaction. ] It's for Christmas! I don't know if you celebrate it where you're from, but it's a holiday where people give each other gifts. So I wanted to get you something.
[He's still sniffing at the 'gift' and kneading his paws very gently into her shoulder, clearly eager for all that he's trying to maintain an air of composure.]
What a strange idea for a holiday. Do you not give gifts at any other time?
[ The kneading of his paws tickles a little bit, and with a soft giggle she kneels down, placing the basket on the ground so he has easier access to it. ]
We do. Technically you can give a gift to someone whenever you'd like. But giving people gifts on Christmas and their birthdays are just kind of a tradition.
[With the basket on the ground he hops down beside it, circles around it, then sets to investigating the contents.]
I'm familiar with the tradition of birthday gifts. [Though it doesn't really make much sense to him, he does understand that it's a thing that happens. Mogget was not born and therefore has no birthday, and so it does not apply to him.]
[ Amy pulls back the rest of the cloth, showing a decently-sized fish that up the entire length of the basket. ]
Honestly, I couldn't really tell you how it all started. But it's just one of those traditions to give gifts to people, just to show that you care and appreciate them.
[That is... a very nice looking fish. Mogget does appreciate the gesture even without understanding it, but in his way is not too overt about said appreciation.]
Then I thank you. For the gift, and the... affection.
[Mogget pauses then, considering. Despite having secured a few places where he's free to slip into a window at night or when it's cold, he doesn't actually have a permanent residence.]
I have no home here. If you would like to share it with me, we can move to a park.
[Since moving in with Kadoc, Caster had taken the time to bring some of her own personal touches to the house- including what many from her world would recognise as the Golden Fleece. After all, nothing quite like using your Homeland's treasure as a throw for the sofa, right?
And well, it was summer, so she'd left the window open whilst she was upstairs working on some scheme or another. Even with the curtains closed, the whole arrangement was set out perfectly for any wandering not!cat's who might be looking for a place to nap.]
[Said (not)cat finds his way through yet another open window with absolutely no shame, in a quest to find somewhere to stretch out and sleep. As it happens, this place has the perfect target... a very soft, plush fleece with a narrow sunbeam falling over it that Mogget immediately zeroes in on.
So when Caster comes in she will find a small white cat stretched out across the Golden Fleece, fast asleep amidst the warm fibres. It's almost like someone put it here just for him to sleep on it.
[...A talking cat. Exposing his belly as he made himself very at home! (This was clearly a trap, he'd claw her half to death if she tried to touch him.)]
[The little cat purrs out the words. It certainly doesn't seem like it matters to him as he stretches out further and curls his paws into the plush wool of the fleece.]
[Mukuro's studio flat was certainly not the most spacious- but there was room enough for her and her two guinea pigs to have a peaceful home.
But she had no idea how this cat had managed to sneak in whilst she was preparing lunch in the kitchenette, despite that. Getting past her spacial awareness was no easy task!
Don't mind her just staring as she put a plate of chicken and veggies on the dining table (at perfect cat-jumping height, if he wanted to steal her lunch).
...Wait a minute, why did this cat look familiar?]
[No one owns Mogget, is what he might say if he really had a mind to rouse himself enough from his nap to say it. He hasn't bothered the guinea pigs save for spending a few minutes staring at them to decide if they were worth the trouble of eating them, and ended up stretched out on the couch taking up far more room than his small body seems like it ought to.
He barely stirs when Mukuro comes in, but as she starts to move around he eventually opens one eye to watch her.
[Mukuro couldn't help but start in surprise as the cat spoke to her- really, living in Avalon, she should be used to this by now- and at that point she recognised him.]
Wait, I remember-
[Oh. Oh no, hold on, she'd been in her Junko guise the last time they'd spoken right? And from what he said...had he seen through her? She flailed a bit for an excuse, before feigning innocence: ]
[Mogget sits up languidly, stretches, and then fixes the young woman with a steady gaze. His small pink nose twitches. Does she think that she can fool a feline's sense of smell? Even twins have subtly different scents, and he would be able to tell one from the other if the girls were in fact separate people.]
You know what I'm talking about.
[He interrupts her bluntly, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth.]
Don't worry, I have no intentions of telling anyone what you're doing. It's none of my business if you're pretending to be two people.
[Cue her shoulders sinking a bit- she wasn't expecting to be found out that quickly. It was pretty clear the talking cat did not believer her poor excuses for a moment.]
...It's not that, I'm supposed to be undercover...
My sense of smell can't be fooled. At least, not by that perfume.
[The cat stands then, and stretches, extending his claws out in front of him and yawning widely. He walks a little closer to her with what could almost be called a curious expression.]
Text, around the 23rd
This is gonna be kind of a weird question, but do you eat cookies?
sorry I'm late, December has been /raspberry noises/
And I don't. Why do you ask?
No worries!
Just wondering. Do you eat fish?
no subject
I do enjoy fish.
Why are you asking me these questions?

Would you be free to meet up sometime? Maybe this afternoon or something?

Hello. [He sniffs the air and peers down at the basket, then hops from the sill and on to Amy's shoulder. Somehow, he manages to balance there without digging his claws into her clothing.]
What's this?

It's a gift for you, of course.

A gift?

What's the occasion?

That's acceptable. Lead the way.
Shall we wrap this here?

Where did I put those ingredients- hm?
[Was that- was that a cat?? Napping on top of the Golden Fleece??]
Hmph- excuse you...!

[Why is anyone being excused? Mogget rolls over on the fleece, stretching himself out and showing his soft white belly. Clearly, he has no shame.]
Don't mind me.
